CBT is an umbrella term for a number of different approaches to psychotherapy, all dealing with dysfunctional thinking patterns and behaviors and emotional suffering related to them. Several types of CBT have been tested and shown to be effective for OCD, among them Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) that this program is based on.

ERP focuses on gradually facing your feared situations or thoughts without engaging in compulsions, fostering healthier behavioral patterns. ACT teaches a different way of relating to internal, private experiences, helping you develop a healthier approach to your emotions. Together, these interventions target both problematic behaviors and their emotional roots for comprehensive OCD treatment.

After you sign up and we match you with a therapist, your therapist will create a unique digital treatment program for you based on your specific case. The communication with your therapist will be text-based, and you will have different discussions on various topics pertaining to the treatment process. You can message your therapist at any time and without the need for scheduling through our secure messaging system.
