What Our Clients Say

My actual behavior is significantly curtailed

My actual behavior is significantly curtailed. I trusted and worked well with therapist and program. I appreciated the different therapeutic approaches and skillfulness of the program. Hard work but worth it!

The program is structured well

The program is structured well, and I learned a lot over this past year. I had a lot of rocks to turn over and the program, coupled with Ivana’s support, helped me address all the things that were hiding there! I really appreciate the email/messaging [format], as sometimes you’re just not up for communicating in person. Thank you so much and all the best!

The experience was quite insightful and beneficial

The experience was quite insightful and beneficial. It increased my capacity for empathy for myself and ultimately allowed me to live more happily. I would most definitely recommend it to anyone else who is interested in looking for help for trichotillomania, and in fact, I have already recommended it to patients.

Lifesaver

Lifesaver. This program changed me so much over the weeks. You have to be patient and invest time in understanding the theory and don't forget to put into practice what you learn in the worksheets. It is also well organized and Michaela has helped me so much in the therapeutic process. [Would I recommend it to someone?] 100%!! This is an investment for you.

My experience with the program was very positive

My experience with the program was very positive as it is individualized and allows you to follow the therapy in your own pace and from wherever you are. On the flip side, this requires a lot of self discipline as it can sometimes be forgotten, which makes it quite expensive in the end. Yes, I would definitely recommend it to everyone who aims at better understanding their picking

This program was an incredibly positive experience

This program was an incredibly positive experience. The tools and conversation were immensely helpful to address something not many people know about or understand. It often feels like with trich you have to pretend it's not there or that you are ok, and it was nice to talk about it. I would definitely recommend this program to someone else, if anything to know that someone understands and cares about what you are going through.

This experience has been extremely helpful

This experience has been extremely helpful. I was expecting mostly behavioral change techniques going into this, but was surprised by how far reaching this program was. I feel like it has helped me become aware of many different aspects that have been contributing to my skin picking and has provided me with so many tools and ideas on how to help myself. What I have learned has helped reduce my skin picking and also helped me change and grow as a person. I feel like this program has given me a new perspective on how I deal with many issues in my life. I would definitely recommend this program to someone who is looking for help with this behavior. It is great to have a program and therapist that understands the problem and is well educated in ways to work through it.

This has been a beneficial experience

This has been a beneficial experience. Thanks to your knowledge and feedback to raise awareness and clarity in me. With the guidance I have delved into areas of my life that had bounced around in my thinking/feeling world. These thoughts are a bit more orderly now, less emotions attached to the people and events. The one to one writing is a good way to communicate and do therapy. I could focus more on my thoughts/feelings, without the distraction of face to face communication and at the times that suited me, like late at night or whenever was a good time to get into this. I have more control over my urges to pick, my pimples are not a ‘big’ thing anymore, though they haven’t completely gone, I can leave them alone more and this will be ongoing with my determination. I understand my behaviour more now.

This program was a life saver

I live in a rural area and there aren't many shrinks around here so this program was a life saver. It was also pretty cool that it was anonymous. I 100% recommend it.
